Health and wellness education for the worker.

Thursday, December 2nd, 2010

Many of our patients, their friends and their families enjoy attending our in-office health and wellness workshops.   These are held at Back To Health Chiropractic Centre on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.  Check out some of the topics and feel free to attend any that interest you.

Just like we do in-office wellness workshops, we also deliver cutting edge health and safety workshops for the worker at the place of their employments.   These Corporate Wellness Workshops are delivered on-site, during a lunch break or during a company health and safety day.

Workers benefit tremendously and so does their company.   Through the various workplace workshops, we teach workers how to lift properly, how set up a computer desk to be ergonomically correct, and how to  strengthen their  core.  One workshop specifically guides workers through a 15 minute stretching routine which helps to relax muscles, ease tension and relieve stress.

Check out our Corporate Wellness  page for more detailed information.  Our Corporate Wellness workshops are catered for factory workers, plant workers and also office workers.

If you would like to bring one of these Corporate Wellness workshops to your company, give us a call at Back To Health Chiropractic Centre (905) 303-1009 and we will help set this up for your workers.

Exercise…just do it!

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010

Exercise seems to be one of those things that most people know can add a tremendous health benefit to their life, yet many people avoid it.  Many chiropractors recommend regular exercise to their patients.

According to the Canadian Fitness and Lifestyle Research Institute 52% of Canadian adults (aged 20 and older) are inactive.  When Canadians were asked specifically about their beliefs regarding certain lifelong benefits to physical acitivity, a majoriy strongly believe that physical activity helps to:  1. prevent heart disease (78%), maintain ability with everyday tasks in older age (73%) and 3. reduce stress (67%).

There are 3 ways that Back To Health Chiropractic Centre helps motivate patients to exercise:  1.  Exercise Wellness Workshops, 2. Fitness Bootcamps, and 3. Run Walk Club.  Each of these programs are free and are also available to people in Maple and Vaughan who are not members of our clinic.

Here are more benefits to regular exercise …
